Carl Beech claimed to be the victim of a VIP child abuse ring and was using the pseudonym ‘Nick’ when his VIP claims were published. Commenting on the verdict of the trial, where Beech was proven to be a serial liar and a fraud, Gabrielle Shaw, Chief Executive of NAPAC said:
“There are no winners in this. Carl Beech diverted significant amounts of resources for something that has turned out to be fantasy with malice. Not only has this damaged and hurt those who were falsely accused, the wider harm done to genuine survivors of childhood abuse is incalculable.”
