Introducing our new Chair of the Board

We’re so proud to announce the appointment of Philippa Gale as the new chair of our Board of Trustees.

Philippa, who joined us as a trustee in 2017 has been elected to the position of chair for a period of three years, commencing immediately. She succeeds Trevor Croft, who held the role for two years.

A chartered psychologist with almost twenty years of experience, Philippa began her career in the police service, before working for both Saville Consulting and BT. She is currently Senior Change Management Partner for QVC where she is responsible for shaping forward-thinking organisational change across multiple territories.

Commenting on her appointment, Philippa said:

“I’m delighted to take the helm of an organisation that is integral to the wellbeing of the millions of survivors of childhood abuse across the UK. Since joining in 2017, I’ve been overwhelmed by the drive and integrity of the NAPAC team, a team that not only supports survivors through recovery, but is also at the vanguard of positive changes in legislation around and treatment of childhood abuse. I’m looking forward to all we can achieve ahead of NAPAC’s 25th anniversary in 2023!”

Gabrielle Shaw, our CEO added:

“Philippa’s training as a psychologist, and her considerable experience driving positive change across national and global corporations make her a truly unique appointment for NAPAC. I’m very pleased to have someone who understands both the challenges that survivors face, and the support they may require, as well as the strategic awareness to help us expand in a sustainable way. Philippa has been a joy to work with over the past few years and I look forward to all we’ll achieve together over the next three.”

Welcome aboard Philippa!
