Acer House is the new Adult Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) for York and North Yorkshire. Operating 24/7, it provides trauma‑informed telephone triage, forensic medical examinations (with or without police reporting), acute health care, crisis support and referrals to specialist counselling and Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs). Services are available to anyone aged 16 or older, of any gender or background, regardless of when the assault occurred or whether it was reported. Priority is placed on safety, dignity and choice. For younger individuals under 16, the Child Sexual Assault Assessment Service is accessed via professional referral.
