S.O.B.’s Breaking The Cycle programme is a structured, trauma-informed pathway designed specifically for adult survivors of childhood abuse across all genders. The course blends psycho-education with practical skills so participants can understand trauma responses, build healthy boundaries, manage dissociation and flashbacks, and reclaim a sense of safety in everyday life.
Sessions are delivered in small, supportive groups that prioritise peer connection and lived experience, with clear ground rules and safeguarding in place. Facilitators introduce tools for emotional regulation, body-based calming techniques, and compassionate self-talk, alongside worksheets and take-home exercises to embed learning between sessions.
Where helpful, participants can be signposted to local counselling, GP support, or community services, and supporters of survivors can receive guidance on how to help safely. The programme is accessible for people affected by emotional and physical abuse, neglect, and sexual abuse in childhood, with options for follow-on groups and periodic refreshers to maintain progress.
