Terms and Conditions for Use of NAPAC’s Services

Updated 2 June 2025

By using NAPAC’s services (including our support line, email support, website, training or media engagement) you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. About NAPAC

NAPAC (Charity No: 1069802) supports adult survivors of abuse in childhood. We also provide training and consultancy to organisations supporting survivors.

2. Support Services

NAPAC offers free emotional support via phone and email. We do not provide:

  • Legal advice
  • Ongoing therapy or diagnoses
  • Call-backs

We may signpost you to other organisations, but decisions based on our support remain your responsibility.

Phone Support and Caller Information
When you contact our telephone support line, your full phone number may be visible to our trained team if it is not withheld. This is a necessary safeguarding measure, allowing us to take appropriate action if someone is at immediate risk of serious harm, or if we need to manage abusive or inappropriate use of the service.

We do not use or share callers’ numbers beyond what is necessary for safety. Internally, only the final four digits are used for monitoring and safeguarding purposes. We do not record calls.

Behavioural Expectations
We do not tolerate abusive, threatening or aggressive behaviour. Anyone behaving in this way may be barred from future use of our services.

3. Confidentiality and Exceptions

We keep contacts confidential unless:

  • A named adult or child is at imminent risk of serious harm
  • We receive information relating to terrorism or money laundering

We will inform you on the call where possible.

4. Data Use – Support Services

We collect only minimal data (e.g. email address) to respond to your enquiry. All data is anonymised for service improvement, reporting, and advocacy purposes.

5. Data Use – Training and Other Enquiries

If you contact us about consultancy, training, partnerships or other general queries:

  • Your identifiable data will be securely stored
  • It will only be used to manage services, bookings, or relationships
  • It will not be sold or shared without your consent

6. Lawful Basis

We process personal data under UK GDPR based on:

  • Consent
  • Legitimate interests
  • Legal obligation (e.g. safeguarding)

7. Security of Information

We use secure servers, encryption, and strict access controls. Any third-party systems we use are compliant with data protection law.

9. Limitation of Liability

NAPAC accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or injury from use of our services. All support, training, and signposting are informational only and not a substitute for professional advice.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.

10. Force Majeure
