Safeguarding Training

NAPAC’s safeguarding training offers a comprehensive, trauma-informed approach to recognising, responding to, and managing safeguarding concerns across a variety of contexts.

Our training is designed to empower professionals, volunteers, and organisations to respond confidently and compassionately when safeguarding issues arise.

Course Overview

Safeguarding is a shared responsibility in any workplace that supports or interacts with people, especially those who may be at increased risk of harm. A safeguarding concern can include situations where someone is being harmed, neglected, abused, or exploited, or where there is a risk that this could happen. In the workplace, safeguarding concerns may involve staff, volunteers, or service users. This can include disclosures of past or current abuse, allegations of harmful or inappropriate behaviour, individuals who may present a risk to others, or people who raise concerns about their own safety or the safety of someone else.

NAPAC’s Safeguarding Training provides professionals with the knowledge and skills to recognise, respond to, and manage safeguarding concerns with confidence. The course covers key principles such as identifying signs of harm, understanding legal and organisational responsibilities, and responding to disclosures using trauma-informed, person-centred approaches. It supports participants in building safer environments, both for their teams and for the people they support, and in developing effective, compassionate safeguarding practices tailored to their setting.
