Gabrielle Shaw

Gabrielle has led NAPAC as Chief Executive Officer since April 2015. She is a senior INGO executive with over 16 years’ leadership, policy and strategic decision-making achievements across charity, government and statutory sectors. Gabrielle’s natural leadership ability and extensive collaborative working has ensured that NAPAC is a robust, versatile organisation that is growing sustainably and making a large-scale positive impact on survivors’ wellbeing.

Philippa Gale

Chair of the Board

A chartered psychologist in occupational psychology, Philippa has a wealth of experience in leading strategic transformation projects and delivering positive organisational change for companies in the UK and beyond. Having begun her career in the police service and with extensive experience across various sectors, she is well-versed in the challenges survivors can encounter when interacting with frontline services and therapists.

Shaun Spencer KC

Trustee

Shaun is a barrister specialising in family law whose practice primarily involves complex cases of child abuse. Shaun’s specific practice requires him to be closely familiar with the child protection processes, the therapeutic inputs required for survivors of abuse (both children and adults) and an almost daily involvement with survivor clients. Shaun brings an invaluable legal perspective and a collaborative, positive nature to the board.

Dr Tim Lambert

Trustee

With more than 20 years as an NHS Consultant Psychiatrist, Tim has worked closely with adult patients who have experienced childhood abuse. Tim has previous board-level experience encompassing strategic planning, governance and financial management and his professional background means he is cognisant of both  survivors’ experiences when engaging with the service and the challenges of running a non-profit.

Suraj Naik

Trustee

Suraj has worked in a range of senior leadership roles focusing on business transformation and finance consulting across Europe and the United States. Suraj’s inherent knowledge of larger corporate structures and his capacity for operational management is helping NAPAC to better integrate with larger companies and institutions across the UK, taking trauma-informed practice mainstream.

Kate Hitchcock

Kate is a Senior Grants Manager at the John Ellerman Foundation, one of the largest family foundations in the UK. She has been involved with the voluntary youth sector since her time living in supported accommodation as a teenager. In her early career she delivered frontline work with children and young people in schools, colleges and non-formal settings. Kate has also volunteered on the Lived Experience Movement and brings an unparalleled knowledge of the UK grant management landscape to the board.
